Freddie McCann and Tom Loten each hit half-centuries, with Fateh Singh taking four wickets, as Nottinghamshire and Kent’s Second XI Championship clash ended in a draw.

Opening the batting, McCann amassed 87 from 93 deliveries before departing at the hands of Hamidullah Qadri, while Loten was unbeaten on 83 when Notts declared their second innings closed on 234/2.

Kent built a half-century opening stand in the final innings of the match before Singh bowled namesake Ekansh Singh, before pinning Savin Perera ten overs later.

The spinner returned to remove Jack Carney and Grant Stewart, with James Hayes accounting for Marcus O’Riordan, as the hosts reached 200/5 before hands were shaken.
