A remarkable day of run scoring saw both Tom Moores and Tom Loten score hundreds - the former at a strike rate of 156 - as Notts added 564 runs in across three sessions against Derbyshire at Lady Bay.

It gave Notts a lead of 536 heading into day three, with the hosts concluding proceedings 665/8, and Sammy King still unbeaten two short of his own century.

Resuming 101/3, Moores and Loten added 255 before their stand was eventually broken.

By that point, Moores had hit 21 fours and nine sixes in a 118-ball vigil which yielded 185 runs.

Loten pressed on towards his own century, reaching the landmark with a square cut for four.

His demise for 110 reduced Notts to 450/5, but with the best part of 40 overs remaining, there was ample time for Dane Schadendorf to fire 44, Fateh Singh 68 from 63 deliveries, and Sammy King a 116-ball 98 before stumps.
