New Zealand captain Brendan McCullum hopes to avenge an Investec Test Series whitewash as the tourists shift their focus to the impending NatWest Series One Day Internationals against England.

The climax of the three game series will be staged at Trent Bridge on Wednesday 5 June with eight players coming into the squad.

The kiwis will welcome back former Nottinghamshire spinner Daniel Vettori, who missed the Headingley Test through injury, as well as experienced internationals Nathan McCullum, James Franklin, Kyle Mills and Grant Elliott.

Luke Ronchi is set for a debut having spent four years off the international scene having begun his career with seven appearances for Australia.

"We've got eight new guys coming into the fold for the ODI series and Champions Trophy and they're experienced players," said McCullum.

"One thing we have been able to do in recent times is move between the forms of the game and focus quickly. That's what this is going to require on a very short turnaround."

New Zealand have decent pedigree in 50-over cricket having won a one day series in South Africa for the first time in January.

England won the corresponding series 2-1 in New Zealand and both sides will be motivated to demonstrate strong form ahead of the ICC Champions trophy which starts the day after the Trent Bridge One Day International.
