Nottinghamshire batsman Alex Hales is one of five players to be awarded an incremental England contract for 2013-14.

Hales joins Ravi Bopara, Eoin Morgan, Luke Wright and Jos Buttler on the list, having all been selected for England's limited-overs squad for the upcoming T20 matches against Australia. Buttler, Morgan and Bopara have also been named in the squad for the five-match ODI series.

This will be Hales' second consecutive incremental contract with England, and is reward for another excellent season in limited-overs cricket for both county and country. A central part of the Notts Outlaws' Yorkshire Bank 40 and Friends Life t20 campaigns, he also scored a match-winning 94 for England in their second T20 International against Australia in August.

Hales is currently preparing for the Australian KFC Big Bash tournament with Adelaide Strikers, which begins on 20 December.
