Neil Edwards scored a well-paced 138 as Nottinghamshire made a solid start to their Second Eleven Championship match against Yorkshire.
Edwards was supported by a half-century from Sam Kelsall with Scott Elstone posting 79 not out as Notts declared on 352/6.
Yorkshire reached 30 without loss at the close.
