Yorkshire (113-4 ) lost to Notts (117-2 ) by 8 wickets

Notts restricted Yorkshire to 113 from 19 overs after a rain delayed start. The opening attack of Ball and Carter, backed up by Hutton and Bacon restricted the Yorkshire opening pair to just 24 from the first eight overs.

Lees was run out by a smart throw from Tillcock from mid off for 14 and the run rate did not quicken appreciably with the introduction of spin. Ross made 41 before being bowled by Martin Weightman with the score on 81 in the 16th over.

Andy Carter, making a welcome return to action, took 1-23 from his four overs as Yorkshire ended with 113-4.

Notts made a much quicker start. Jake Ball was the first to go with the total on 26-1. Sam Kelsall and Scott Elstone then took the game away from Yorkshire with a 52 run partnership for the second wicket before Kelsall was stumped down the leg side off a wide for 22.

Elstone proceeded to give a superb display of aggressive cricket and was not out for 73 reaching his half century from 38 balls and then letting loose scoring his next 21 from just seven balls as Notts won with 3.2 overs to spare.
