Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell will keep faith with the team that beat Glamorgan on Friday as the Outlaws travel to Taunton needing to win to keep their qualification hopes alive in the Clydesdale Bank 40.

Chris Read was instrumental with the bat as Notts continued their upturn under the Trent Bridge floodlights and will captain the team with Karl Turner and Riki Wessels set to open once more.

Overseas signing Darren Bravo keeps his place ahead of Tuesday's LV= County Championship fixture between the two sides.

"Somerset are in control of the group and we need to win both of our remaining games if we're going to have a chance of going through as the best runners-up," said Newell.

"We batted with positive intent against Glamorgan and we'll take the same approach here knowing that winning is essential to any possible progression in this competition."

Marcus Trescothic and Murali Kartik were both absent during Somerset's game against Glamorgan this weekend but both hope to return to face Notts.
