Mick Newell has called on his players to reproduce the form they demonstrated in their opening victory when they face Derbyshire Falcons at Trent Bridge this evening (play starts 6pm).

Newell will name an identical team to that which overcame Worcestershire Royals with six overs to spare with Ryan Sidebottom, Dirk Nannes and David Hussey all included.

Tickets are available on the turnstiles priced £15 for adults and senior citizens and £8 for under 16s.

“We’ve made an excellent start and it’s very clear that we have got an excellent set of players who can do very well in this competition if they maintain the standards they have now set,” said Nottinghamshire Director of Cricket Mick Newell.

“David Hussey made lots of positive bowling and fielding changes and we saw the pace that Dirk possesses and the problems that he creates for bowlers.

“The depth of the squad will be important over the duration of the competition but we’ll keep faith with the same team tonight.”

Derbyshire have won two and lost one of their Friends Provident t20 fixtures and will include hard-hitting South African Loots Bosman in their side.
