Nottinghamshire fast bowler Andy Carter has agreed to join Essex on a month-long loan.

Carter could make his debut in Sunday's Friends Provident t20 fixture against Somerset on Sunday and will hope to be selected for LV= County Championship fixtures against Yorkshire, Kent and Warwickshire.

The Lincolnshire born seamer has made two first class appearances and featured in nine limited overs matches for Notts.
