Notts Vs Lancs (Day Two) Round-Up

General News | 7th June 2008

Mark Wagh will resume on 67 on day three after Notts began a solid response to Lancashire’s first innings total of 384 at Old Trafford.

Will Jefferson scored 32 before he was caught in the gulley and after Matt Wood went for 10, Adam Voges eased to 32 from 68 balls to leave Nottinghamshire to 148-2.

“It’s a nice wicket to bat on but a few cracks are appearing so it will be interesting to see how it plays as the game goes on,” said Wagh.

“It wasn’t easy for us to get wickets yesterday but we kept control and restricted them to a low run rate.”

Play was abandoned 11 overs earlier than scheduled due to bad light.
