Wayne Noon has named an unnamed Second XI for today’s game against Essex at Bishops Stortford.

Essex are expected to name an all-professional side with Grant Flower, Graham Napier and Dave Masters involved.

“Essex will be as strong as any Second XI that we have ever faced but that will provide a great opportunity for our players,” said Noon.

“This is the type of game where a big contribution will get you noticed and I would rather face a team like this than a really weak one.”

Alex Hales and Martyn Dobson will open that batting for Notts.
