Nottinghamshire are already assured of another massive crowd for next Tuesday’s Twenty20 Cup quarter-final against Kent Spitfires at Trent Bridge.

Some 26,000 spectators attended the home group matches and less than 36 hours after tickets went on sale for the Kent clash, more than half of the ground had already been filled.

Said Lisa Pursehouse, Notts Deputy Chief Executive: “We expected a terrific response from supporters as soon as we clinched a home tie and they haven’t let us down.

“The Ticket Office staff have been flat-out, coping with the demand, and it seems there is every chance that we will sell out. I would certainly recommend those people who are hoping to come to the game next Tuesday to book their places as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.”

Notts attracted a record Twenty20 crowd of 12,325 for last season’s quarter final tie against Northamptonshire Steelbacks and they are well on course to overtake that figure.
