Cricket in the Park heads to Wollaton

Live ball-by-ball action of the fourth npower Ashes Test is being shown within Wollaton Hall?s historic grounds on a giant screen on Saturday and Sunday for free - and Notts Chief Executive Derek Brewer is looking forward to a successful event.

He said: ?While Trent Bridge is a complete sell-out we have had hundreds of people expressing an interest in watching the action and with the weather set fair Wollaton Park is bound to be busy.

?It?s the perfect venue for an event of this kind and we?re encouraging everybody to bring their family and a picnic to enjoy a fantastic day out.?

Admission to Wollaton Park is free and with the ECB Roadshow on site, along with family fun fair rides, there?s plenty of activities for all the family.

Food and drink outlets are available, with beer and soft drinks provided by event sponsors Fosters, but visitors will be able to take their own food and drink along as well.

Nottingham City Council is encouraging the use of public transport wherever possible, with an all-day Kangaroo ticket for local bus, tram and train journeys costing just ?2.50.

Car parking is also available at the Park for ?2.
