Our skipper says a win would provide a strong platform from which to aim for the Championship and with a game in hand on the chasing pack, it?s important to take our chances.

Said Fleming: "This is a massive game for both sides and if we can get another win under our belts we will be in a terrific position at the top of the table.

"But the way in which we bounced back from losing to Kent to beat Gloucestershire was very impressive and the type of cricket we are playing is good enough to beat anyone.

"There will be a lot of attention on the match with several players looking to make their mark for a number of reasons, and Kevin Pietersen will clearly be a big draw, but Shane Warne and my international teammate Craig MacMillan will also have their say.

"But we?ve been scoring a lot of runs and that?s been the platform for all our victories so far. I can?t see any reason why we can?t do that again and put Hampshire under pressure from the start."

Injury news:
Graeme Swann is likely to be back in action after resting his sore shoulder for the last two Championship matches.

AJ Harris is fit to play after recovering from his broken thumb, but will have to wear extra protection around his hand.

Fellow seamer Oliver Newby?s stomach strain also seems to have cleared up and Mick Newell has included both fast bowlers in the squad of 13.

Squad:
Bicknell, Gallian, Singh. Fleming (captain), Hussey, Read (wicketkeeper), Ealham, Swann, Patel, Sidebottom, Smith, Harris, Newby.
