Adam Voges hit a superb century against Lancashire as Nottinghamshire secured the title at Old Trafford in September.

In partnership with Samit Patel, he helped his adopted county to claim a first Championship crown since 2005 a with a personal tally of 126 as Notts successfully scored 400 runs to secure a crucial bonus point.

The Australian international will serve as Nottinghamshire’s overseas player until the conclusion of this season’s Friends Life t20 campaign in his fourth stint at the county he first joined in 2008.

His spell at the end of last season was short but impactful as he maintained an average of 50.8 in three LV= County Championship appearances.

Six fifties and a century for Nottinghamshire in eight four-day appearances in 2009 helped Voges to re-establish himself in Australia’s limited over setup.

An attacking batsman and a former Australia A captain, Voges is firmly established as a dependable presence in the middle order across all formats.
