Development update - first floodlight in place

Since my last blog, the weather, especially the wind, has hindered progress at Trent Bridge.  Despite this the project is still on schedule and the recent work is now starting to outline the new shape of the ground.

This is best seen with the roof on the new stand and the installation of the first floodlight, which has been erected behind the Fox Road Stand. The floodlights with their slender masts will provide the best light levels in the country while the iconic head frame will symbolise Trent Bridge for many years to come. This area of the project has been particularly interesting to me, as I have dealt with the previous mobile, temporary system at the ground for the last six years.

Elsewhere, the office block steelwork is now complete and the brickwork is due to begin. The stand extensions to Fox Road are virtually complete and those at the Larwood & Voce Tavern Stand are continuing.

The new electricity sub-station was connected last week and the Club will now switch all areas of the ground to this new supply.

Over the next month the roof will be completed on both the stand and the office block. The brickwork will continue on the office block while the next two floodlights behind the main scoreboard and Hound Road Stand will be installed. Work on installing cable ducts around the boundary edge will also begin in front of the Radcliffe Road Stand.

re the Larwood & Voce. I think they have add extra rows at the front of the stand.

I was wandering if anyone could tell me whats actually going on with the Larwood & Voce stand? It looks as though its just having new seats rather than being expanded.

Richard/Jack - I was thinking the same as you but i found that there are more photo's on this site. On the home page click on 'Ground Development' at the top of the page and then click on 'Development Gallery' for more pics. Hope this helps.

As a Notts fan based in Kent now its really quite exciting when new pictures are posted on the website, but is it possible to increase the regularity of these?? I don't get to drive by and see the progress, so its a little frustrationg when theres a long gap between images.
